Strategy of New Business Development
The New Business Development Division, consisting of the Business Promotion Department and the NBD Center, aims to develop and expand new markets, as well as to expand and diversify our business areas.
The role of the Business Development Department is to take responsibility for business planning, including market selection and research, feasibility studies, and investment plans assigned to Market-In and Product-Out business development teams respectively. Not only utilizing the existing products, we are also promoting the use of CVC, M&A, joint venture, and other business investments. In addition, we aim to create new businesses globally by deploying collaboration teams in North America, Europe, and other regions. The role of the NBD Center is to expand the business areas through expanding existing businesses and developing new products. The mission of expanding existing businesses is to open up new markets by applying existing products to new applications and markets. The mission of developing new products is to connect new business themes that have been developed and planned by the R&D Division and the Business Development Department and have potential marketability to the actual businesses.
