STYRENEPAPER and other products in the food packaging field have the performance properties to protect products from temperature, humidity, and impact, as well as excellent ability to print on. They are used for various food containers and packaging materials, such as food trays, cups, lunchbox containers, natto containers, folding boxes, and confectionery containers. For microwave-cooked foods, products with heat resistance, oil resistance, and shock absorbency are required. We are responding to these needs.

MIRABOARD, a product in the display materials field, is lightweight and easy to process, making it an effective display material for advertising. It also supports a variety of printing methods, such as silk screen printing, posters and inkjet media. It is used for models, toys, educational materials, and cushioning materials. A wide range of product variations are available, including paper-applied surface types, adhesive-processed types, and surface color printing types.

Industrial Materials

High cushioning properties,
used as a protective packaging material for transportation

Foamed plastic products have high cushioning properties and are widely used as protective packaging materials when transporting goods. Industrial packaging and cushioning materials such as MIRAMAT and CAPLON have excellent cushioning performance to withstand the processes of wrapping, packaging, storing, and long transportation time, and protect various products such as home appliances, optical equipment, ceramics, and fruits from impacts. With value-added features such as the antistatic function, MIRAMATACE is also used as a surface protection material for precision equipment and flat panel displays, demonstrating a more advanced performance. We also offer ACRYLACE, an acrylic sheet that is a non-foaming product. We are expanding into the markets of display materials, optical components, and construction materials.

Construction, Housing and Civil Engineering Materials

Contributing significantly to energy conservation by improving thermal insulation of buildings and houses.

Foamed plastic provides excellent thermal insulation because it contains air. MIRAFOAM is an extruded polystyrene foam material with excellent thermal insulation properties and dimensional stability. It is highly effective in saving energy and is widely used as a heat insulator for houses and as a building material. It is used in exterior insulation methods that completely cover the house and is widely used as a core material for tatami mats.

STYRODIABLOCK is used in the civil engineering field for reinforcing soft ground on roads and reducing the weight of bridges. Its excellent compressive strength and lightness (about 1/100 of general fill material) and workability play a major role in producing a material that invisibly supports structures. With the drive towards higher functionality, longer life, and energy conservation in housing and structures, we will continue to actively work on the development of next-generation heat insulating materials and the expansion of their applications.

Automotive Materials

Supporting the global automotive industry

JSP's automotive materials are used by virtually all automakers in the world, giving us a strong global presence. ARPRO is the world's first non-cross-linked polypropylene foam developed by JSP. It has excellent cushioning properties, heat resistance, thermal insulation, dimensional stability, oil and chemical resistance, and can withstand repeated use. In addition to these properties, its lightweight properties are widely recognized in the global automotive field, further meeting the recent demand for HVs and EVs. Specifically, representative products include core materials inside bumpers at the front and rear of automobiles, door pads that mitigate the impact of side collisions, toolboxes in trunks, and tibia pads that protect the lower limbs of passengers. We have also developed components that meet the need for weight reduction of automobiles, contributing to improved fuel efficiency of automobiles and reducing CO2 emissions. We can supply products worldwide in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia with an aggressive global expansion. Furthermore, ARPRO meets the performance requirements as a packaging and transportation material. As it is a single material, it is highly recyclable, and we aim to shift to a circular economy through the efficient use of limited resources.

EPS Field

Styrofoam is used in agriculture,
fisheries and other industries.

EPS stands for Expandable Polystyrene, whose molded products are commonly called "styrofoam”. If you look closely at styrofoam in everyday life, you will see that small particles are hardened into molded products such as boxes and blocks. JSP sells pre-foamed granules (beads) to customers, who then foam them and mold them into various shapes.

Products molded from expandable polystyrene STYRODIA are lightweight, have excellent shock-absorbing and heat-insulating properties, and can be easily processed. We offer a variety of grades suitable for various applications while taking advantage of these excellent characteristics. It is widely used as a material for heat- and cold-retaining food boxes for fish and vegetable boxes for cushioning/packaging material for TVs, PCs, and other home appliance containers, and as a heat insulating material for construction, and civil engineering materials. We maintain strict quality control from production to delivery to ensure the stable delivery of high-quality products.
